Bird Caroline Berger Stuck on the inside of her shoe under her heel is a tiny reddish feather from the bird she found on the sidewalk this morning, a bird that first flew past her before she recognized its bird-shape, next smacked against the glass of her front living room window, and then fell upon the sidewalk, where she found it this morning, stunned, but only just that.
